I bought a '99 CQC7-B a few months ago and finally got around to ordering a replacement clip and set of handle screws to replace those worn from use.
Along with the set of handle screws I ordered was another set of shorter ones, and these came with a hand-written note saying to "try the longer ones first, and if a gap appears between the handles and liners, use the shorter set."
After replacing screws and clip with the new ones, I have a very nice looking knife for the cost of a few well-spent bucks.
I am impressed with EKI customer service. I'd heard they were good, I can now confirm that.
Now to find a CQC7-A, which seem hard to find...
