Great Experience Buying a GB

Got a great deal on a GB Small Forest Axe.

What is the best way to clean up the minor surface rust? I used some steel wool and it seemed to come right off. What should I put on the head to protect it? I wiped it with some parrifin wax for now. I did a light sanding on the handle and coated it with tung oil. It looks sweet.

congratulations, That small forest Axe is a great choice for a handy all purpose axe. I use Renwax or a light oil on the head and a mix of linseed oil and beeswax on the wood handle.
