Hey guys, I'm kind of new to posting here (I've been lurking for a year or so) and I think this is my first new thread. Just wanted to say I really love checking out all the traditionals around here.
Anyways, I was helping my Grandpa clean up his basement today when he tossed me an old Uncle Henry box he had come across and asked if I wanted it. The box was pretty big so I was thinking something along the lines of a buck 110. I opened it up to find this "papa bear lockback" and sheath. The bolsters had a bit of green patina on them that I rubbed off to leave some dark patina on the brass.

The blade is stainless and dull as a hammer. I'm not huge on the aesthetics of a clip point or "staglon" but appreciate the 1970's - 1980's machismo that it brings to my mind. Definitely a knife built for work.

At almost 9 inches OAL it's by far my biggest knife (even out of my modern's). Here it is next to an Opinel No. 8 for comparison.

Not many heavy duty tasks planned for tomorrow but I think I'll sharpen it up and carry it tomorrow.
