Hopefully this is the right place to post, as I'm usually more of a lurker. This is a knife made by my great grandfather. He wasn't a knife maker, he just didn't make much money and did the best with what he had. When he passed, my cousins and I got to pick out one of the things he made (knives, wooden spoons, spatulas, just things to use around the house, etc...) my obvious choice was a knife. The shape of this one caught my eye. No matter how many knives I add to my collection, this will always be my most treasured. Not the nicest, or the prettiest, but well used and it tells a story.

That is a cool thing to have. I don't know which subforum would have been best, but I am glad I saw this.

That's very cool, and something that you can pass down to your kids or grandkids someday. When my grandfather passed away he left me a box filled with pocket knives he carried over the years...guys of his generation always carried a pocket knife. It's great that you have something that your grandfather actually made and used. Thanks for sharing.
