Just a shout out to the folks at the working mans Busse factory, you guys and ladies are doing some mighty fine work.

Just got my Dogfather LE and its the bomb, love the handle and balance, for me it's better than the BK9 or the other choppers I've tried including the big Mistresses (blasphemy I know, but it's my opinion.

Now on to the real topic, why isn't the Regulator standard issue for the Marines and Army Special Forces? Seriously, this knife has not got its due. It is quite simply the best "If I only had one" knife I have had. I was issued the KaBar, had the Becker and a TOPS but this knife wrecks them. Balance, heft and feel are ridiculous, I would bet my life on it everyday of the week.

Just saying, my .02 worth. You guys that tried to steer me in this direction years ago, Old Physics and Guyon, you guys were right Ankerson too.

Thanks and god bless the USA and Scrapyard Knives.

Since Bravado is not here, I will respond in his stead:

Get those mangy mutts off the Busse forum! Back to your dog pen!

:D

I escaped for a moment from the pen and got to say THE DFLE IS A GREAT PIECE OF STEEL! Got to run now;)

could be its heft thats keeping it out.

I would have gladly packed the extra ounces for the security and peace of mind. Just saying the balance and blade shape of the Reg. is perfect and at the price they were offered just amazing. I did have the edge reprofiled and thinned out a bit on mine. Thats about the only thing it needed, but it wasn't even really need more like my own preference.
