I've bought a rotary attachment from Rob recently but unfortunately FedEx damaged it during shipping. I filed a claim but it looks that they are going to use any excuses not to pay for the damage. When I told this to Rob he offered me to send my attachment back to him and he'll fix it or replace. What a nice guy!
I wish all suppliers where like him. Not only excellent products but also great after sale service.

KMG rules!!!

I have never had FedEx pay for a damaged package yet. They have damaged five packages and denied every claim. I will never use them ever again and I have multiple unresolved complaints against them with the BBB.

You'll be very happy with it.

I really appreciate people on this and other forums that convinced me to go for KMG instead of other cheaper options. If not for them I would probably ended up with Grizzly. Not that Grizzly is a bad grinder but it's just in another league.
Even with KMG sometimes it's frustrating and things just don't want to go right.
(due to lack of skills not because of grinder)

I have a feeling that people who end up with less machine than KMG have much greater chance to quit.
A newbie needs good equipment much more than an expirienced knifemaker to get good results and less frustration.

FedEx is nightmare when it comes to damage claims. I've found that UPS, DHL, and the USPS are similiar. If the claim is over $100...then they'll make you jump through hoops with relentless verbal requests, policies and procedures....with the hopes that you'll eventually give up. Just google a frustrating phrase such as..."fedex sucks" and start reading. You'll find story after story of people that have filed claims, then submitted everything requested...and was denied. there are thousands of denials in bad faith by these companies...they don't put anything in writing and when in doubt, they'll use the ol' faithful reason: "inadequate packaging"... Since this can be very subjective ...you'll never win. It's not just FedEx...but the industry in general. It is a nesscary evil that I deal with every day. I hate the scum bags...but truly rely on them. Whattaya do?

I can rebuild, repair..or replace a rotary platen quicker and with less cost ...than it would take to battle with the claim. This is a time to put "principal" aside...and cut your loses and go on.

IMHO, KMG is the cats meow. I love mine. I think the only thing I have left to order is the Rotory Platen. It definatelly is in the plans. Rob is Definatelly good people and damn good to work with.
