We had a warm day today so i took a spin on the scooter down to Cleburne and hit the Pawn Shop as im unable to pass one without stopping.Picked up a great little Case 62032 Jack with CV steel.Just a tiny spot away from mint for $30.00.Got home and the mail had come with a couple of great knives. It seems a fellow forumite had seen my post here http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=793742 about wishing i could find myself a Cold Steel folder that i had foolishly snubbed when they were available.Well, turns out he sent me two beauties.A trapper and a stockman. These knives are even better than i had thought they would be.All blades snap hard with nice wide shaving sharp edges of carbon steel. The fit and finish is excellent and they are perfectly mint.I couldnt be more thrilled. He wanted me to use them and i will, though its tempting to just polish them and tuck them away they are so nice.I may rehandle the trapper and carry it in a custom sheath for show and light use But the Black jigged delrin is very nice agaist the nickel silver.I dont think ive received just a nice gift since ...well...its been awhile. My benefactor wishes to be unnamed, but let me just say, there are some very good people here on the forum, and i will try to pay it forward. Here is my new treasure.

very cool score! i went on a google and auction site bender trying to find these after the last thread. no luck but this post has re-invigorated my resolve:D
congratulations on the great gift.

I like the looks of the stockman in particular. Never handled any of this CS series though.

The Stockman is a great knife. Its full size @ 4" closed.Blades all tuck away nicely without any rubs. These were Camillus made, some of their best stuff i think.I dont know how long or even when Cold Steel had these.Seems it was maybe mid 90's?They sure have disappeared.Into Camillus collections and users pockets i suppose.

Don, you have been a great member and friend as well. You deserve something good & nice to come your way for sure. My favorite knives came from you....;) Those are some real beauties! Couldn't have happened to a better fella!

Camillus did a great job on those CS knives.

I have one of the CS large stockmans. Built like a tank and the blades hold an edge like the modified 1095 they are.

For a 3 7/8" knife, it feels larger.

Congrats on the Goodies!

i still have 2 carbon 5 muskrats that are great edge holders. to camillus credit they came shaving sharp.

Great finds on those Cold Steels!
I suggest rehandling one or both with something more interesting than delrin since you have the skillz.

Wow, that was a great knife day. I'd like to have one of those Cold Steel stockman knives. Those are all really nice. - Ed

That's a Blue Moon Knife Day alright and to be relished!

Your presents are very nice indeed but so is that CASE, some really decent bone on that one, congratulations for rescuing it!
