Great Knife Deals--What To Do?

A couple of years ago, I had the chance to pick up some CRKT S-2s for $25 apiece. This is a great folding knife with a titanium frame and an ATS-34 blade. Anyway, I bought seven of them and did my duty by posting the deal here so that others could take advantage of it.

I've also found other good knife deals, and I tend to buy five or six of them when I find them--sometimes more.

Alas, I also tend to give many of them to family and friends, so I'm not sure I'm financially better off.

Anyway, what do you do when you see a GREAT deal? Do you buy one and account yourself lucky, or do you stock up, either as investments or as gifts?

(It's ironic, but I had to buy at least four S-2s to qualify for FREE shipping. This particular model has been one of my best knives, BTW.)

It seems the current best deal is the Browning Ice Storm....at $30, I think im gonna have to get some of their Mcusta made VG-10 and test the theory.

I tend to stock up on these types of knives if it is something that I think I will continue to use in the future or give away as a gift. There are just some knives that are good for the long haul and it is nice to have several. When one quits functioning you can just get a new one out of the safe or drawer.

I even do it with more expensive knives or knives I carry every day. You never know when they are going to discontinue a model and you may not be able to find another one.

The small CRKT S-2 framelock has been on my want list for a while!!! I just haven't found a small one at a good price and I read there were some lock-up issues with a few of them.
