I am not 100% sure. For some reason, the particular knife I have listed for sale does not mention the type of steel on the blade. It just says "Solingen Germany Stainless".
However, I have owned 4 of these knives with various handle configurations (because I think it is a great knife). I still have one more. The other one I have says 440C. And I am very confident the others I have already sold in the past all said 440C as well.
I could "assume" this one listed is 440C as well and just not stamped the same, but I honestly couldn't say for sure. Sorry.
