Great Micrographic Photos of Edges

Thanks for posting this. I got myself a new desktop wallpaper now. :)

I'd love to see the results of an Edgepro sharpening by someone who's experienced using it.

Great post  thanks.

If you haven't already done so, check out the Kalamazoo 1x42 belt sanders. Well built, easy to change belts, and I find the 1800 fpm belt speed preferable over the 3000+ fpm belt speed of most of the economy models.

I saw some manified pics on a straight razor forum once that showed a razor honed on a 30,000 grit shapton stone. That edge was incredibly polished, no discernible scratch pattern. By the way there is nothing better than shaving with a straight razor.

I for one, would love for this guy to get a factory scalpel and provide a micro-shot of that edge. Seems to me it would be really polished.... I generally don't polish my fresh edge beyond a dozen drags across the strop. Unless I'm cutt'n flesh, anything more could be a waste. The very micro-thin scratches tend to lend a sort of "mini-serration" ...that I like.
