Great neck axe - England

I recently bought a Great Neck pole axe head. It says it was made in England. Where can I find history on the company? Does anyone have any knowledge on the quality of the steel?
Thanks, Matt

Great Meck is an American tool company who I believe still manufacturers inexpensive handsaws in their New York factory, and made other things like screwdrivers.
They also rebranded and imported all different kinds of tools from various places, from
mechanics tools like wrenches & socket sets made, and axes & hatchets .

I'm guessing 1970's, but that's just a feeling I have.
