I just picked up another Buck 303 that I think is very Cool! The date stamp indicates it was built in 1998. I was wondering if anyone can tell me the scale material? I would like to think it is some kind of Jigged Bone. By the weight and feel I'm thinking Bone...The Shield reads (Buck Knives Limited Edition The Edge For Life) The Blades are nice and snug with great snap! They seem lightly polished? With the Odd Double Shield one I got a few weeks back, this one and the Ironwood Timberlake version I just purchased, I am well on my way to another Compulsive Disorder....LOL!!!! Thanks...~baba~

Baba, My vote is on jigged bone, nice knives....

I notice the level of the bottle of Jack has dropped since your last pic, not much, but.....:D

NICE, I have the 301 from that series!

I would love to see some bone handles show up in the 300 lineup again for the 301's!

hint hint...........

:D

wow seeing those makes me want to peel an apple to eat!!
what sweet looking knives... sadly i only collect the 110..
but wait... i can have one for edc with out 'collecting' them... cant i ?

I really like the 3 rivets in the Bone model rather than the 1 in the Derlin. I think the Ironwood that is enroute has no rivets. I'll see what I think of that when I am holding it... And I will be working on the JD bottle this weekend. Got a new bottle of JW Blue to break into...OH BOY!!!!!:eek::thumbup:

Either Or....The Bucks get better looking in Bunches and the bottles some how lose their spirits!!!! So I must continue to Restock....

Baba,
Do a search up at the top for 303 information, might even broaden that to 300s information. There are some threads you need to see to get a better grip on your 'affliction". You do that and your are just about ready to join 'The 300 Club'. You will have to learn the secret handshake...... 300 Bucks

I do really like these little slippies!!! While standing around at work or on the range I am forever rolling one around in my hand while listening or waiting. Every once in a while, I get to cut or score something then the real fun begins!!! Too much JD tonight, will do 300 search in the morning... Thanks for the looks and kind words all! This is an awesome community.... ~baba~

Thanks for the great pics, Baba! Now you have me hooked...and like Dave, I only collect 110s'. ;)

These are just outstanding for the silly stuff you do everyday that needs a blade. No one gets nervous or freeked out. The three blade configs do just about all of it... I am glad the photos seem okay... I working on those. ~baba~

~baba~, Just a fun 303 photo in case you didn't see it the first time....300Bucks

I went thru my drawer, & have 42 303's. Yep 42. 29 are 2 springers with the sheepsfoot on the right side (better feel), 13 of those are long pull models. the rest are 3 springers. The 2 springers also all have 3 rivets thru the scales.

Baba, nice 303 limited edition brown jigged bone knife... I really like that limited edition series... I have 6 of them and I think 2 of them are the same... I'm not sure how many different ones they made... I know I have a 532, 301 and a 303 and ? ? ... I'll have to find them and see for sure... I could show you a picture of them...

Later, Armand
