Well, I had to.

Blade was great. I had a lot of fun, drank lots of beer, spent time with a lot of GREAT people, fought for knives, and Jerry Busse signed my beer helmet

On the way back home, I listened to the NASCAR race and was thrilled when Jeff Gordon won the race.

Oh, and the MAVS WON THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!!!!

Man, just a GREAT past 4 days :D

It was great seeing a lot of you, and everyone have a safe trip home.

A big + 1 to all that broham!!!! Great times!! Cant wait to do it again

How bout dem mavs!!!!!! One of the greatest weekends ever!!!!

I agree!! You guys were the best core group one could ever ask for!! I appreciate both of you guys help and company this weekend!! I was literally on knife stimulus overload!!

Mark and nephew Eric you two are two SOLID HOGS!!!! Mark remember to ask about the oven invite up for you and your dad for a celtics game

J

I am so jealous of you guys! M67, can you show us what the winning beer helmet looks like? :)

I'm not going to forget, and I'm going to have a "Going to Boston" stash jar next the the INFI jar :D

I'll get a pic later tonight, but in Jeff's thread there's a couple pics. I'm still waiting to wake up, this past weekend was so fun and amazing that I feel like I must be dreaming.

M67 and Eric,
Great to see both of you guys and hopefully you had as much fun as I did.

Nice to be home, but it sure is hard trying to get to work this morning ;)

:D:D

I thought Jeff Gordon got screwed when they swapped pit crews around, but it seems to be working out pretty well for for him. I didn't go to Blade. Unlike last year's Gladius, I didn't see anything I couldn't live without, but I'm sure I would have bought a bunch anyway if I'd been gone.

I think we did, actually, I'm sure if we had anymore fun either Eric or myself would have been in an alcohol coma, kind of like Mongo on Sunday :D

I first thought that too, but after the 2 wins this year, I'll take it. And as soon as I found out there were going to be AAs, Paul's Hatchets, Warhawks, and Ruckis.....ooo... I almost had a heart attack. Awesomeness factor was WAY higher than last year :D

It was great to see each and every one of you.

Don't tell Jerry, but it's really become more about the people than the knives for this ole Doc. Glad you each had a wonderful time and hope to see you again, next year.

EDIT: Also, please no one remind Jerry that I have an eidetic memory. I'm trying, really hard, to forget what the inside of the Prototype Folder looks like. It's tough ... but with enough single malt, I might eventually succeed. What do you think? Should I also destroy the detailed blueprints I created right after I get home from the Show??;)

Alright, here is the helmet. Complete with THE Jerry Busse signature . This is now priceless to me :D

If you notice, it's missing a "shoulder". It survived 500 miles of 80mph pot holes. It survived about 100 degree temerature in the trunk. It survived being knocked over and taking a 3 foot fall and hitting brick. It survived being worn and used by drunk people. But...... as soon as Pokey touches it, it broke off. And then she signed it and tried to yank one of the "tusks" off. She's so mean :( :p

This baby is beer can grade aluminum armor plated, has a hard hat suspension, and an integrated vinyl tube that makes drinking a breeze while wearing. Designed to keep your head safe during intense drinking sessions :D

It was made from a 12 pack of Miller Genuine Draft, but I ended up coating it in Anheuser Busch cans because all cans from the good bear was crushed for a failed project. So, I stuck a PBR can on the back and used Miller High Life bottle caps as eyes to class it up a bit ;)

Yeah, 26 hours. I figured we had 5 months notice and people would be bringing some amazing helmets. I always have to be an over achiever :o

As for Eric, I still can't beleive it. Every decision and action he made during the entire weekend was on a whim. And it paid off for him, even though his power steering got fubar he had an epic weekend. Isaacson was 100% right when he thought of the name, One Lucky Hog :D

Eric, it was such a pleasure meeting you. Thanks so much for everything, esp on convincing me to make the after parties (Amy O also gets credit for that one). As for having as much fun as you did, you just dont know. Thanks again Sir.
