Got a sweet deal today on a model #899 open stock . This is my first Schrade with a Turkish clip blade. Nice looking addition to the knife! Dale H.

The 896K, 895, 825SS, 893, and 899 all use blade variations on the same slim serpentine stockman frame. The 897UH, 98OT, and 93OT are the Uncle Henry and Old Timer cousins.

A couple of rare ones to track down: the 898K and 823WW. I have never seen either one of these. :)

I believe this is the ancestor of the first 3 9/16" slim stockman with the turkish clip, but I'm not sure. This is from the 1947 catalog, but with a 4 digit number I'll bet there is a Schrade Cut Co version too.

Anyone have any 3 9/16" slim stockman examples to share? The 897UH is probably the most common Uncle Henry.

This would be a good picture thread. I'll post some later. I have a healthy "stock" of this pattern.

I am going to need to dig...............it may take a couple days. :D:D

Here are several of the slim stockman patterns with the turkish clip. I'd sure like to find a bone handled 899 or 825SS, but so far I have not been able to corner one of those.

This is indeed a nice pattern! Here are my variations. Only one is from the Cut Co era, the butter and molasses.
The first from the left is a two blade jack, and the second, third and sixth are bone handled. The third was made with John Primble Belknap stamping and etch.

Hey Charlie:

What is the stamp on the yellow one? Got a pile side number?

Nice set of slim stocks! I like that blonde one in the two slot the best. Wundrin if #2 and #6 are stainless 825's or 895's? They look carbonish!

Adding another question. What is the blade arrangement on #6, for sure that is not either an 825 or 895.

Superb show guy's! I'm with you regarding the bone thawk, although any early Schrade bone handle knife would be welcome.

Schrade over Walden over NY USA, with
896Y on the back.

You prefer the blonde? You must be a gentleman!:D
Blondie has a pen blade and no number stamped.
Number 6 has a punch and spey, and is stamped 899

As for number 6; Asked and answered!;)

Won't post unless I add some more words outside the box!
