I bought a book at the Arkansas show titled The Skinning Knife by M H Cole. It is a wonderful piece of information with hundreds of black line drawings....truly inspirational. My knife is made with these great old knives in mind. It is just over 10 1/2 inches with a 5 3/4 inch blade. Made from 440C @ 58-59Rc with a cryo quench. The handles are stag cut bone with brass bolsters and pins.

I'm kind of surprised, but I really like this knife. The reason for my surprise is that I don't normally like a blade with such a big curve to it. This looks like it would do a great job of skinning a big animal with thick hide.

I like it, I love those sweeping blades. I would like it better if it were to have a guard, but hey, I am a fussy bastid!

Very nice work Geno!
