I ordered a Combat Master sheath for my M6. The vendor kind of packed the sheath into a box that was a bit too small. When I got the sheath, the Kydex insert had taken a set and was no longer straight up and down. I couldn't get the knife in.

On monday, I called Special Ops. and explained the problem. This afternoon, UPS delivered my new sheath. That's two days. They also sent a return label so I won't have to pay for the return of the first sheath.

The new sheath fits like a glove.

Hey Willieboy,
You will love the spec ops, absolutely a great sheath, mine fits like a glove as well.

Good to hear, as I've got a camo one coming soon from Lighthound. That M6 is a great knife.

The same thing happened to my survival sheath. I figured it was due to the heat in the shipping vans in transit from Texas. (When I moved from Texas some of the plastic bins that we packed clotes in warped in the moving van.) Anyway, I just took the insert out of the sheath, put it on a cookie sheat, and put it in a preheated oven (350F) for about 4-5 minutes, and then slipped the knife into it. The insert straigtened right out.

Dduangrat... What would you use for a insert to keep a sharp knife from cutting through a nylon sheath? Kydex (or concelex) inserts are the industry standard, as far as I know. They will take a set in the heat, though.
