Great service

Just wanted to say "Thanks!" to Heather for the great service.

When we got back from a camping trip to Glacier National Park a couple of weeks ago, I discovered to my horror that the screw in the spacer of my new Sebenza 21 was missing; it's probably somewhere between Glacier and Canmore... The spacer and the deep socket were still there, however. After tearing apart all our camping gear, vacuuming the car, etc., etc., I emailed Chris Reeves Knives. Got an answer back from Heather almost immediately, and she promptly mailed me a couple of replacement screws. They finally arrived (that's Canada Post for you... 10 cents for delivery, 90 cents for storage). And no charge.

Anyway it's all back together again, this time, um, with a little dab of blue Loctite:o on each of the screws, as I don't plan to take it apart for a long time, if ever. I've been lubing it from time to time with BreakFree (I know, Chris recommends his special grease, but it didn't come with any), and it glides open practically without friction and locks up solid as a Cadillac door.

Amen brother. Those folks up there make already extraordinary knives even more desirable by their outstanding service. I've had similar experiences. Seems almost unfair to them (imho).

They are def top notch! Heather is the best!

I would be a little leery putting any loctite especially if your female ends are the smooth polished type. If you go to turn the male end it will just sit and spin. I found that out the hard way but I only used the purple stuff....and only a toothpick drop.
I ended up soaking it in hot water and then pressed the smooth end on a piece of rubber to try and grip it. It finally gave and I promptly cleaned all the threads with isopropal...

Just a word to the wise.only a toothpick drop.
