Hello all, I wish you all could have been at the show... The Southern California Blades put on a great show... Well to me it was great... It was my first knife show... I've been to Gun and Knife Shows before, but not just a knife show... Anyway for all us that went, I think we all had a great time.... I did anyway... I went Saturday (3-20-10)... The BCCI had a nice set up at the show... Bruce Dollinger had a nice set up with Bucks for sale for the BCCI and George Stinzel had a Great display of older 110s... Bruce and George are two really nice guys... There were lots of custom and other knives for sale... Not alot Bucks... I bought just two knives... I will try to post some pics later... Even David Yellowhorse bought a knife that he made about 15 years ago or so... He said he was going to give it to someone in his family... The guy that sold it to David, told him that it was a David Yellowhorse knife and David said I know, I am David Yellowhorse... The guy didn't catch on at first... But when he finally did, he was really excited to meet David... So was I... David Yellowhorse, Wilde Bill Cody and Leroy Remer are three great guys... I hope you all have a chance to meet them and hang out with them... They all did a demonstration about Buck knives at the show... I got to go to lunch with all three them and George Stinzel, Ed Youngman and Jim... Sorry I forgot his last name... Then after the show we all went out for dinner at a nice Mexican restaurant... There was about 12 us I think... Leroy R, Wilde Bill, David Y, Ed Y, Bruce Dollinger, George S, Jim, Larry, Steve and I can't remember the other names, sorry about that... But we all had a great dinner and a really Great time... Can't wait till next year... ITE

Hi Armand,

Thanks for the info and all the wonderful photos. Other than the fellows you named that were selling Buck's at their tables, how many other tables were selling Buck knives? How were the show prices on Buck knives?

There were only two others that had alot off Bucks... One had Newer ones at a fair price and the other guy and his wife had lots of older Bucks and would deal with you... I bought a knife from them at a ok price... I had to buy something... There were a few others that had one or two Buck knives on there tables... Lots of handle stuff for sale... Stag, woods and so on... And Lots of Custom knives.... Big BUCKS... $$$$....

Hey ITE, glad you had a good time-wish we had a big show here in Pittsburgh area-you would think it would be a good place for such things.

Armand,

I enjoyed looking at your photos. Sounds like you had a good time.
Watch out, you keep hanging out with Leroy you'll get the itch to grind some knives! :)

ITE, I was hoping you had a group photo but its ok . How many tables at this show ? DM

Thanks Flatlander, i'm glad you like the pics... We all had a great time... I wish Pdave would have came to the show and you too.... Next time... I'll leave the grinding to Leroy... But you are right, I would love to try and make a knife someday... ITE

Hey David, it's hard to get everyone to do a group pic... Bruce D, did take a group picture when we all went out to dinner... I would say about 50 or more tables and dealers were there... I'm not sure though... I can tell you that there were not to many Bucks to buy... :( ... But we all had a great time though... ... ITE

Looks like it was a good show. The inlay demonstration by David Yellowhorse would have been great to see. He is a master at that.
