I have just bought an LB7 for my son's Christmas. I have had mine since the early 70's and wouldn't give it up for any other knife. I noticed that the new LB7 had only 3 pins, and mine has 4 pins. I was curious why. Thanks to the information from all of you, I now know why the difference. Not only did I find the information that I wanted, but I have spent over an hour reading. I will spend many more hours reading and asking questions about the knives I have collected over the years.
