An I thought 2006 wasn't all that great! Over the course of the first day and a half of the year.....
my computer crashed. I had to do a complete system recovery and now I'm trying to reload all of the software.

My cell phone broke, and now gives off high pitched beeps at random and rings on occasion without anyone calling.

And my brand new truck, with a whopping 1900 miles on it had the check engine light come on and stay on and has to go to the dealer tomorrow morning :grumpy:

Happy new year! :jerkit:

Yeeks! Hang tough, bro.

Geeze Matt - stay away from the buffer for a few days.

Lucky bugger. You're going to use up all your bad luck for the whole year before the week is out.

Rob!

haha sounds like when i bought my house with in 2 weeks the stove blew up, the hot water heater went out (field showers for 2 weeks wifey was pissssed) and the brake line blew out on my truck on the way to class. hang in there man it will get better.

Thanks guys
The computer is about halfway updated. Just need to get the printer back online, and reload MS office  Luckily that hasn't cost me anything but time.

Truck has been with the stealer (dealer) since 9:30 this morning. Hoping for a call soon, but I'm starting to doubt I'll have it back in time to go to class this afternoon. Least my folks have one I can borrow for the day.

Phone has been bleeping at me all morning so I guess I'll be buying a new one this week. That will help the credit card out :foot:

Well I got my truck back. I guess the fuel level sensor was reading wrong and giving a code.......
So they completely reflashed the computer. Now it has the new programming on it where the injectors keep cycling for 30 seconds after you shut it down.....gonna be hard to get used to:rolleyes: At least its running

Matt do I recall right that it's a FORD

with 1900 miles on it I'd make them eat it..just tell them your going to trade it for a chevy if they don't..:D

Yep its a ford. Didn't cost me anything, its all under warranty. Wasn't a happy camper to begin with....had they presented me a bill I might be sitting in a jail cell right now :D

I really like this truck. Hoping I can at least make it to an oil change without having to reprogram it again:foot: I've trash talked chevy WAY too much to make that threat.....but I might mention something about cummins ;)

that's what happens when we burn bridges behind us,, haha :D

ford makes a great truck for farming, the water leaks out real good if you leave the windows open during a good rain, keeping the grass watered under it when it won't run.... :D ;) just kidding but I do like my GMC :)
