Last Thursday the doc didn't think Frank would make it thru the night and if he was unconscious on Friday AM we were going to stop the IVs. Today Frank is out of the hospital and in "transitional care" being taught how to care for himself the best he can (use walker, how to get up, down, etc.) and may be ready to go home in 2 or 3 weeks.
I just can't fathom the strength and will of this man. I'm pleased and proud to have such a courageous fellow for a father and hope that some of these genes are flowing in my blood. Hell of a guy.
(Ironically, copied for the Great Uncle Frank is dying post.)
