At least this chap had a better ending than Timothy Treadwell.
 
Odd how this film has been around for years but seems to be gaining such traction lately.
Very inspiring.
There ARE! other ways to live.
 
Karl, while inspiring when it was made, the stark contrast it creates to our current culture is probably what draws people to it. That and the fact that true skill with manual labor and steadfast work ethic are becoming increasingly rare these days make it a jewel. I've watched similar videos as I can spend hours watching anyone perform a task with skill, no matter the task, but I hadn't seem this particular video. The YouTube vids are only clips, but a decent chunk of the overall movie. I was lucky enough to get to watch it in entirety on a PBS telethon. :D

PBS is where I first saw it, too. The official copyrighted full DVD is still available as well. :thumbup:
