Great Waterbuffalo Horn

I found some very interesting waterbuffalo horn a while back and made up a knife from it for one of my customers. Here is a scan of the knife with the pair of matched scales.

Very nice indeed, George. I've never seen water buffalo horn with such a beautiful gradient of color. In fact, I had been admiring this knife since it was first featured on your website and I was trying to guess what the handle material might be. Horn never even occurred to me...I had no idea it could turn out so nicely. Hmmmm...I'll have to give serious consideration to this material for future custom projects...

An added benefit to water buffalo horn is that when it is scrapped off, the shavings make an excellent coagulant - stick them in a cut, and you'll stop bleeding asap.
