Dan just returned my Bura JKM on which he kindly offered to put a convex edge.

The knife is gorgeous ! Beautiful convex edge, lovely satin finish, and he even managed to reshape the tip to bring it out to a sharp point. Put a nice finish on the wooden handle, too. I couldn't be happier with his work, and really look forward to viewing the files on the enclosed CD.

I'm gonna start practicing on my Kagas Katnes, then work my way up to my Bilton :D
 
A wood handled JKM-1? Never seen one. Please do post pics, sounds like a sweet knife.

David - the pleasure was truly mine. I couldn't believe how smooth it turned out and how well the grinding went.

Full convex edge, top to bottom. Beautiful wood handle.

I had a hard time letting this one go!

Well, I'm only a basic member, so I can't upload pics. I suppose I could take a photo with my (very basic) digital camera and email it to someone who can post pics here... Any volunteers ? :)
 
Pen turned my ugly duckling $35.00 abused chipped 18" villager into a dui chirra elegant swan. Can't post pictures but trust me, it is now a work of art.
 
Yours was a joy, clearblue, to work on. It gave me troubles at first, but once sharpened it cut the paper like is was butter. I was still paper-testing it the day I sent it...:D (just for fun)


I apologize to all for not taking good "after" pics. I got carried away trying to get all my ducks in a row last week and that meant hastily sending the villagers and forgetting to take pics. :(

If anybody can take digital photos - email them to me and I will post them.

If you can only take regular prints, then mail them to me and I will scan them in and post them here.
