My boss called me this morning while i was pushing some bikes outside. He said that he was hitting up a few yard sales on the way to work to look for a grill for the shop. He said the one that he was at had a 6 person inflatable canoe with no tears or anything, perfectly good shape, that came with two ores and two life jackets for $12!!!!!!! I said, "DUDE, buy that s@#$ RIGHT NOW!. He bought it for me and brought it to work. I checked it all out. Thing is perfectly fine. This is awesome. This thing is exactly what I've been looking for for the past year. I can't wait to get out in it this weekend. Wife said she wants to go too so BONUS! Needless to say, I'm stoked. I'll get some pictures of it this weekend. Tonight, I'm going to do a layer of duct tape over all the seams.
 
I have this funky raft repair kit thing I'll sent your way next week.... I dont need it or own any inflatable Things ;)
 
Very Cool D, I have been looking for something like that myself, found one last weekend at a yardsale, but it looked like it had been a puppy chew toy.. :(

What wrong with Duct tape? It's an American past time, like baseball, BBQin, Applepie, beer... next you'll be commenting about google fu girly pic posts.... sheeez :D

Good score! Even if it doesn't float, the good feeling you have until you discover its flaw(s) would be worth the amount paid... like the wild ass daydreaming that we do until the lottery numbers are drawn. ;)

Duct taping WHILE canoeing is not fun, or enjoyable..... Thou it reminds me of one of my first cars... little MG... went over some railroad tracks one day, and both front fenders fell off, and it pretty much folded in the middle... When the tow truck showed up, I asked the driver if he had any duct tape... I was amused, the driver was amused, the cop however was unamused.. Sigh. :/

I see nothing wrong with duct tape. I have a duct tape wallet that my mother-in-law gave me. Then again, I am a country ass GA boy sooooo....

Thanks guys. I can't wait to get out on the water with this thing. i inflated it in the back of the shop a minute ago and went over the whole boat with soapy water. I have one leak that I marked. I know I have one patch left at home in a PSK that i can patch it with. I need to go to the sporting goods store on my lunch break and pick up a pump to keep in the boat just in case. The ores look pretty decent. One is a J&B hard plastic job. ehh. The other is a really nice Feather. Those aren't shabby. Also, I was wrong. It came with 4 life jackets, not two. Sunday, the wife and I are going to get up early and head to the lake for some fishing. We'll load it up with the cooler and see how she does. That reminds me, I need to get a fishing license for the wife. Gotta do that tonight.
 
great score, you cant beat it for $12.

I just sold a raft and 2 kayaks....... it was a little more than $12 though.:D

Two things I regret selling off... my canoe, I wish I had kept it so I could go out with my kids in it... and my Kayak so I could go out and get some time alone! :)

we have them...i just wish we had more time to use them.

the kids are TERRIBLE on the canoe. seriously they can't sit still and you're in constant fear of getting dumped.

I picked up a 3 person Pelican canoe and before I take it home ,I am putting outriggers on it,LOL for fishing and squirmy wife & kid....:D Training wheels for a canoe :p Geez
