Take a minute to visit the site, say hi to John and order a knife.
It's a little sad to see the end. For me, and probably for a lot of others, a Greco was my first "real" knife due to their affordability.
Not many have not owned a Greco at some point in their collecting history. :(

YUP:( Does anyone know what happend,I wonder why,I always see people on here talk good about his knives and it seems he did more business in the past couple of years then ever before.

A message from John Greco, Greco Knives...

I have always enjoyed making knives and all of the things that go along with it. I have especially enjoyed having the pleasure of meeting so many great people and making so many friends along the way.

However, after 20 plus years of knifemaking, along with the natural aging process, I have developed medical problems that severely limit my ability to continue making knives the way I have been used to.

Although not life threatening, this condition is referred to as life altering. In short, I have been told that if I keep making knives the way I have been, I will lose the use of my hands altogether.

In light of my medical situation, I have been forced to decide to sell off the existing inventory of knives, to include Greco's, Greco/Lile's and the new Greco/Scagel's.

...

Now I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank everyone who has purchased a Greco knife, please keep it up.

Thanks again, John Greco

This Sucks, what would be a good first Greco to get I'm kinda leaning towards the MST but the Companion is cool, I'm also kinda looking at the dangler drop point. Cant spend much but I hope he stays around till I can pick of a few pieces. Ya know I always thought that he'd be around and I could just pick them up when I got the cash, looks like some things just got tossed on the back burner.

I just tried his site and I get no photoes????
From What I have seen I would like to maybe pick up one or two
Chris:( :( :(

John Greco, I heard is one of the very good guys. Sorry to hear about his health problems. Hope better things will come his way soon.

:( :(
That is really too bad. I bought a MST IV from Mr. Greco at a knife show a few years ago, and he was a very engaging person who sold a solid knife at an unbelievable price. What a drag! One can only hope that in his case "crisis" does also mean "opportunity."

that is really too darned bad, some of the best, most hard use knives around imho, very similar to strider at a fraction of the price,

he will be missed

greg
