I have used and carried a Chris Reeve Project 1 in the woods, and found it to be an optimal knife for my needs. Unfortunately, I have since parted with this knife, and have been thinking of picking up another CRK fixed blade at some point down the line, with both the Roberts and especially the Green Beret being high up on my list. My question is how does the Green Beret perform as a field knife, especially as compared to the Project One. The handle certainly looks a little more comfortable, and I would think should absorb shock from chopping fairly well. If anyone here has ever carried and used both your input would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I dont have one but according to many other users on this forum the Green beret is very close to neutral balance, not blade heavy liek the Project and similir big Reeves knives. So the Project will out chop it by a good margin.
