Green Beret review request

Hi,

I have just got back into knives after a long hiatus, and ordered my first Sebenza - large regular. I'm really looking forward to its imminent arrival, but now I'm on the look out for something heavier!

I'm interested in the Green Beret 5.5". Has anyone used this, is it any good or is there a better alternative?

Never mind, the search function is working again, so found some, but I'm still interested if anyone has anything further to add.

If you like the 5.5" Green Beret or want something similar do a search for Bill Harsey's 5.5" H-Class Tanto. I just picked one up and was very impressed.

Thanks for the recommendation, but I'm not a real fan of tantos.

I'm more interested in a straight edge or a slight recurve like the Neil Roberts. The Pacific looks interesting too, and I'd love to hear some real world reviews.

Hello Romanx,

I have the 5.5 GB and I have USED it like a work blade should be used. I'm a sergeant with the California Highway Patrol and I carry this blade in my war bag. It has punched through doors, cut out a sunroof, sliced dozens of seatbelts and can still gently cut clothing away from crash victims, who need medical aide. I purchased a black leather sheath for a more "friendly" presentation. This knife is absolutely top notch. If I lost it, I would definately buy a new one! If you have any specific questions, let me know.
