are the serrations on the lower blade portion of the green beret V grind or chisel grind?

i have heard it is better to have the serrations facing the way you cut and im left handed so this is why i ask.

The serrations on the Green Beret knife are ground on the left side of the blade only, though you can see the slight radii at the bottom of the serrations on the other side of the blade. Whether you would consider serrations on this side of the blade to be on the 'wrong' side based upon your handedness depends upon whether you would use the serrations principally in a skiving (backhanded) cut versus a forward slice. I think the serrations would be equally effective from either side, since the cutting surface of a serrated edge is still the fine edge of the blade, and in the hollow ground blade of the Green Beret knife, the edge is symmetrical to either side.
