I got the green beret about 9 months ago and that sucker is awesome!! I have taken it everywhere outdoors with me and the knife is so damn comfortable that I find myself LOOKING for excuses to use it. It hold an edge well too. Insofar as it is compared to the gerber I would take the CRK over the gerber for
a) the warranty- Chris stands behind his tools
b) the relationship- It feels great to be able to call the shop and talk to the guy who made your knife.
c) the quality- Go ahead, find something better.
I love this knife and I have put some hate on it, I like the coating especially, it doesn't flake off like the other coatings around, it just kinda gets worn off, its a COATING, not an epoxy. I like it though, and recommend it.
