I've been looking a the 7" Green Beret for my fixed blade. Looks good in pictures. Who has one and is this a good choice?
I bought a large Sebenza, witout having held one and was more than satisfied. In fact, I had to get a small one, too.
Will I need to get a 5.5 to go with this one?

I used to have the GB, but I traded it for a Busse. Don't get me wrong, its a great knife, but when that trade opportunity came along, I just had to jump on it!

Hard to say if it is a good choice without knowing what you'll use it for. However, it "is" a great knife and I own, and have owned a few Busses'.

I have both the 7" and the 5.5" and I love them. I have sold several of both and they have seen hard field use. We have used them for everything from food prep to chopping and splitting fire wood and never had a problem, though the 7" is definitly a better chopper than the 5.5". Plus the handle feels great and they come with a great sheath. Good choice I think.

I ordered my first Chris Reeve back in August. Got a call last Thursday that it was being shipped. I must own a dozen or more 7" combat knives, but that Green Beret looked too cool to not have. This is the most I have ever paid for a knife. I have bought Mini-14 rifles for less! How does it stack up to the Becker CU or the SOG Seal 2000? I have both of those. I like them both, but the Becker has a more comfortable (now micarta) handle. I really like the Ontario RAT-7, too.
