Green bolsters on my Madison Barlow

Hey guys. Well, good news is my northwoods Madison Barlow has not shown any signs of blade wrapping since I got her back from the factory. But I noticed today that the bolsters on it have turned green-ish, gold-ish, and not silver and shiny anymore. It was sitting in the main street pocket slip probably for around a couple months now, since my 71 bullnose has been getting a lot of pocket carry lately, but I did oil with down with mineral oil last time before I put it in the slip. I think they are nickel silver bolsters.
What can I do to get these looking nice again? I have some flitz but figured I'd ask here before trying that. Thanks in advance for any tips or help.

Just spray it with a little WD40 and wipe clean. You could probably use whichever lubricant you prefer; but when I found my old AG Russell in that condition (after being basically forgotten in a leather sheath for several years), WD40 was what I had on hand.

I know years ago I bought a Schrade lockback and it came with a leather belt sheath. The care and maintenance paperwork that came with it said do not leave the knife in the sheath during long storage periods. Leather and suede sheaths and pocket slips can retain moisture in humid environments.

Mine looks green-ish. Came in a black bottle. Anyone know if the stuff goes bad? I've had it over a year now and the other day it seemed quite thin, like it separated. I'm guessing it's fine and just needs some shaking up? Maybe even less than a year.

Dave, your bolsters just tarnished. Do as others have said and you'll have them back to a bright finish.
