Green canvas micarta question

Are there differenct shades of green canvas micarta? What do you like and who do you buy from? Loosearrow

Green canvas can be made darker by rubbing oil into it. It can be left as is but will darken with use from the oils and sweat from your hand.

There does seem to be different shades of green micarta. I have a Bark River fixed blade, and a Custom folder, both with green micarta, and they are very different. It does as well, darken with age. I have had pieces of natural canvas micarta really darken. It is still all nice looking though.

The color of the micarta depends on the color of the material used. As there is more than one manufacturer of green canvas of course there will be different colors. There is not a "Micarta Police" to insure everybody uses identical canvas.

Couldn't find the box for the Mini Canadian,but it's GCM too:

I don't see any green in them,but I like them just fine as they are.
