Green Micarta?

This is green micarta right? From what I'm seeing it's been offered from Busse before. Ordered a TGP with green micarta.

Wondering, does anybody have any green micarta that's used/oiled? Hoping it will get that "2-tone" black/green color that black micarta has. But look more green than black after it absorbs some elements. Or will it not? Would love to see some pics of user green micarta.

Im pretty sure i seen Green linnen micarta, on the few Busse's on the exchange,
But its different than Canvas....

I keep wondering if I want to stick with tanker/green canvas on my BJ order or change it up. I think overall it's hard to go wrong, but the sage/black canvas on some of the recent Ratweiler pics is calling me

I've got a green linen hack. looks great, there'a a pic floating around here. There is nice color variation in the green linen. That said I think the green canvas is going to have a really cool solid OD look to it.

Went with tanker/green on TGP. :thumbup:Yeah I'm kinda thinking of changing to black canvas cause ALWAYS looks good. I've got lots of TANKER/Black canvas coming. Also Sage/black too. I haven't had a blade in tanker since I first joined BF and had a Scrapper 5 so have forgot weither like or not. Tanker looks best on TG'S from all pics hqve looked at, i think.

I think the green canvas will look good too just not sure and was hoping was offered before and someone had user pics.



Went to PO and got some new blades. FAT ASH (which wasn't expecting cause didn't ask) and BWM. This is linen micarta on the ASH right? Tan or tiger?

Did wash them off. They look more tigery in bottom pic?

Nice haul man! Can't advise on the handle material though. I will probably leave my BJ order alone, at least until I get my JMD. Then I'll be able to check out tanker and the current black canvas in person, I only have black coated or satin right now.

It's been a while since I've had any new blades come in and somehow I've passed on the last six offers (that all counts as money I've "saved" right?). I'm going to need a fix soon, lol

I COULD be wrong, but I do not believe Tigerhide was offered on a CG? I f I am wrong I stand corrected-I would say Tan Canvas Micarta

old black canvas
recent black canvas
tan canvas

The pixelation of linen texture/grain is very fine compared to the canvas you have there.

Lol. Hear ya. Kinda hoping won't have any dings for next six months after getting these though. Have too get VERY picky here and learn to say no to Jerry the "pusher". Which is VERY hard to do!

Yeah just think gonna stick with the green canvas on the TGP too. Man Jungle Green looks great! Was hoping it would in person. I hope it makes a return here soon in a bit more durable crinkle coat. Seems to come off easier than most others

I might trade this Fat ash. I'm keeping the BWM for rest of year at least to test out. What a great knife (from first impressions).

Hmmm. Does the texture of linen get coarser if washed off? Was washed throughly today. They were kinda velvet/smooth like before washed . I don't know what to think though now. From that bottom pic the seller gave me, it kinda looks linen in that pic, no?

Looking and thinking about it more though, it probably is just plain Jane tan micarta.

Its smaller grained/ threads are smaer than any other canvas micarta have seen though. Another bad photo. I had a Boss Jack with tan micarta and wasn't like this. I'm guessing your right though being canvas tan. Not thin stitched threads enough.

Does look different from this tan canvas fatty no? Cut differently where the grooves are too looks like, one I got the larger front and back grooves are more at angle. IDK I likes it all I know. Might trade for a regular or skinny though.

This is what Tiger Hide linen looks like-Linen is much softer and smoother than the Canvas-Hopes this helps

Nope. Stays smoother and feels much different to your hand just like linen bedsheets feel smoother than a canvas painting or tent would. The rounded swell below the machined portion at the middle tube fastener where your fingers wrap is the best place to see the big canvas squares on yours. Compare same to my pic.

Your bottom shot is way too far away to tell for sure & if handles are oily from handling it is harder to tell.
