Green Osage for a handle?

Yes, it's green in color. It was in a 160 year old fence post. This handle piece came from the part that was under ground. I had it stabilized by K&G.

I forged the fittings from stainless. The guard is hot fit to the blade. The blade (10-1/2) is 5160 and is machine finished except for the clip which is sharp and hand sanded. This look wont be for everyone and I realize that. But, again, I'm playing with the look and textures. It is a take down so I can clean it up after I use it.

That is so cool , Lin...even if it ain't cool for everyone ;) it's one of my favorite knives from you.

Might not be for everyone, but looks darn nice to me!

Interesting color on the Osage!

Yeah thats a nice one Lin. I was thinking bog oak when I first seen it , Fence post seems just a bit classier than Bog lol. Its a nice look

Lin, it's a fantastic effort, which I followed closely on IG. Very nice results

Looks FAR better there than it did holding up fencing. Unique and absolutely beautiful.
