Hello,
I recently purchased a small Don Lozier knife with a 1075 x 15N20 damascus blade. I coated it with Marine Tuff Glide (Something I do with every knife I have that won't get used for awhile) to keep it corrosion free. I looked at it an hour later an noticed that it had traces of some sort of green film on a few areas of the blade. I know it didn't have that before. Luckily, the film wiped away pretty easily but I want to know what it was and if I shouldn't use the Marine Tuff Glide on some steels. I've never seen it happen on other knives. Does anyone know what it is?
Thanks.
