Hi. I have a Green-T Commander that I bought from the factory several years ago.

I remember that the lady who took my order over the phone couldn't tell me at the time how many total Green-T Commanders were made.

Does anyone here know the total production figure? And, any thoughts on a value?

Thank You.

There were two runs of Commanders with Green-T coatings. One batch was the Mil-Spec ('98 thickness liners and grip slabs) and most of those went to the Military. I don't know how many total but they're hard to find.

The second run was in '00 and they made 100, if I'm not mistaken. Mine is no. 78. You could only get them through EKI. They had '00 liners and grip slabs. At the time, you could get black or green G10 grips.

It's been a couple years since I've seen one for sale (and it was on Ebay) so it'd be hard for me to estimate a price.

BRP,
Thank you for the helpful information.

I was not aware of the initial MilSpec run. Mine is definitely not MilSpec... it is the same thickness (blade and handle scales) as my regular, old Commander.

The following is a link to some interesting information about Walter Birdsong's Black-T and Green-T finishes. There is a particularly interesting mention that Green-T was originally IR-reflective.
