Green Utility

I have one. I have not used it, having put it away for my son who is entering the Can Forces. But it is a simple no nonsense knife. Lot smaller than my old Busse BM-E. Looks lot less "tactical" which I lately is the way I'm leaning anyway.>Very solid feeling.Kydex sheath is Ok. Have Bills' Ranger model too have use'd it and it cuts fine for a 5.5 inch blade so I'm guessing the utility will do a lot better.

Ken,

I would like to hear what your son thinks once he puts the GU to use.

Thanks

well of course I am gonna say they are great knives :) but some would take that as pure marketing. I have recieved a lot of feedback from owners of the Green Utilities and it has been very positive. The design was arrived at by putting together some criteria from Greg Davenport into a simple working knife. I was thinking of a survival type blade but if someone wanted "bells and whisles" they would have to attach their own. BTW although this model is called the Green Utility most are black. The name stuck after the TK article that featured them. BTW HSTDIST, I consider it a great honor that you are going to equip your son with one of my knives. Thank you.

The one I have put away is green:)
Thank you Bill for making a piece of steel into a tool that i wish i would have had when i was in the Forces. It makes this dad feel better knowing that this is one piece of kit that won`t break on his son
