I logged onto the chat last evening for my first interaction with some of the members of this forum. My purpose was to find out more about the Emerson line. Several of you took the time to answer a few remedeal questions. Thank you for taking the time.

I plan to spend more time here lurking, reading and ultimately contributing some time in the future.

One question I would like to pose. Is there someplace here or out on the net where I could read some of the history of the Emerson line? What spured its huge popularity? And other such tid bits.

Again, thank you for your time and your warm welcome.

Terry,

You can read a good bit at Emerson's Website.

www.EmersonKnives.com

There are quite a few good things to read, and look at, including Emerson in Japan...

Hiya Terry, and welcome to the Emerson Forum. I host the Tac-chat, and I'm sorry that I couldn't be there last night to meet you. I'll be there this coming Saturday Night and I look forward to meeting you there if you can make it.

Eric,

I won't be able to make it this Saturday night. I'm leaving here this afternoon on one of my "Wonderlust" weekends. I'm not expected back till some time Sunday.

I'll watch here for notice of the next chat after I return. Hope to get up with you another time.

Question for you and others.....

Of the CQC7's which are most desirable? I count 12 SKU's on my master list but I checked and at the moment my distributor only stocks three. CQC-7A-BTS, CQC-7B-SFS & CQC-7B-BT. He has just picked up the line but he promises me he plans to try to have the majority of the line on hand within a year. I can already get 4 of the 6 SKU's of the Commander.

Hey "Fouorcycle"

Welcome and it was good chatting with you.

We chat on Wednesdays and Saturdays, starting at 2100 EST and it goes till everyone leaves. Stay a few minute or stay a few hours. It's up to the individual.

As to which is the most popular of the production CQC7s. Tricky question. I can say I see more black scaled ones then green, I see more Tantos (B) then Spearpoints (A), more Black-T then "Satin". More Serrated then plain edge. That having been said, I prefer black scales, "Satin" finish, plain edge and I like the "A" and the "B" about equally. My next Seven will be a mini PE "A".

John

Welcome to the Forums. Sorry I couldn't be with you at the chat.

I find it interesting, and uplifting, that plastic and steel can bring good folks together from diversified walks.

Sometimes, we even disagree and have spats. But, if you are sincere, it's usually taken in stride.

Welcome.
