Well Hello everyone! Christine here ! (Finally!)
I feel bad for letting this site rest for so long, but to be honest it's taken some time for me to process things, walk through the 'dark' days and simply get my ducks in a row with the business.
There seems to be a lot of questions out there as to 'what the heck' is going on with Simonich Knives. But before I get into an update, I must first acknowledge thanks to the Knife community for all of the support, kind words, prayers and donations Megan and I recieved throughout the past few months. The response has been remarkable, overwelming and life changing. To say "Thank-you" is not sufficent in my mind, all I can say is that your support has brought great peace, strengh and comfort to me, which I carry in every step I take, every day. (And Thank-you very much !)
Next - I must give special thanks to my "Team of Mules" that have carried me, guided me and put up with me !! (I can be quite a stubborn mule myself!)
Jerry Hossem, Dennis Rochkes, Duane and Mick of Strider Knives were all close friends of my husband Rob and have gone above and beyond the call of duty in assisting me in soooooooo many ways. Without them, I can honestly say that I would not be where I am today, and the business would be closed for good. Really ! The good news is I am working the business fulltime now, knives and Gunner Grips are in production and the comemerative Urban is coming along perfectly. Thanks Again Guys!
I will be at the Blade Show in June in the company of Megan, and my 2 best friends Mardy and Katie. (My team of Mares!) We are all getting very excited about the trip and look forward to meeting more of you there. I plan to have Military versions of the Crowfoot and Urbans (as well as DLC coated) with any luck there may be some Camo knives too! And of course, The Comemerative Urban and Gunner grips.
If anyone is interested in VIP passes please email me, I still have a few left and would be honored to share them with this community.
At this time there is still a waiting list for knives, but please feel free to contact me if you would like to be put on a list.
The Kootenia is in the works, and I hope to have some available before hunting season this year.
Rob's brother Tony has had a reamrkable recovery from his injuries in the accident. He has been back to work for several months now and is getting along better with each day. We see each other often and he is helping me in the shop too!
Well, I am just getting aquainted with the forums and will try to check in often. I am looking forward to cooresponding and getting to know all of you better.
