My brother Gelbu and his family came to visit us. They will return to Boston this weekend. Gelbu the one who designed the Gelbu special knife in year 2000. He wants to thank you all for your continue supports to HI and Kamis

Dylan love the 18 inch Gelbu special and now he wants to design his Dylan special!


 
Gelbu is from Boston?? That's my neck of the woods.

Love the pix of him and Dylan with the khuks. And I'd totally get a Dylan Special.
 
What wonderful pictures and a beautiful family! I had the pleasure of speaking with Auntie today and I had a great surprise when she handed the phone to Gelbu. We had a short but extremely pleasant conversation! At one point I reminded him his sister has one of the best people to inhabit our big blue sphere. Of course he fully agreed.
 
It's neat to have a face to go with the name. A 21 in Gelbu Special was one of my first HI blades.

I have loved it so much I bought a second one for display, but couldn't help myself and ended up using it too! I've been trying to convince my wife that I need to get a third one "for display" but she doesn't seem to understand.

Thank you Gelbu for a great design, and thank you Auntie for helping keep them available!
 
How nice of your Brother's family to visit. We hope you are all having a wonderful time together. Must agree with Sleeper that it's great to be able to fin ally associate a name with a face. Blessings to your entire family, Mrs. Martino.
 
As Sleeper said, seeing people means so much and really connects what HI is all about. Turn Dylan loose, love to see what he comes up with!!
 
It's really nice to see pics of your brother Gelbu and his family, they look like they are having a fantastic visit. (As if that's a surprise) So glad to be able to put a face to my Gelbu Special, I love mine, and please send my thanks to your brother who designed the knife.
 
Here I have a Gelbu S myself and never wondered about its name, didn't suspect it to be a guy and for sure not Aunties very own brother. Super cool! And nice pictures.
 
What a lovely family Gelbu!

I really enjoy seeing pictures of the Kami's who make our wonderful Khuks... it's nice to put a face with the makers mark. I'd love to see pictures of the other Kami's as well.

I keep a file of all of the Khuks I own which includes type, length, weight, date purchased, along with a picture of each khuk and the makers mark... I'd add a picture of the Kami who made it if I had them.
