Guess i'll start my stay here by saying hi to the fellow blade nuts.
I found this forum while searching for info on the Becker BK15, and it seemed to be a nice place with good folks, so I decided to sign up and hopefully i can contribute some to the community in addition to gathering knowledge ;)

Welcome to the Blade Forums.

:D The main reason I signed up as a member of BFC is, I also was looking for information about BK&T.

Good to see you join us. I am have some friends from Moss, visiting with me today,

Velkommen:) nice to see some "Landsmenn". What kind of blades are you into and what do you use them for?

555: Thanks :) Seems great minds think alike :P

Xineoaif: So i'm not the only viking on the forum? Konge :D

Mannlicher: Nice to feel welcome ;) I actually lived just a short drive from Moss 22 years ago. In Fredrikstad to be exact.

Secte: Takk for det du :P I'm into all kinds of blades. From tiny pocketfolders and neck knives to huge machetes, kukuhris and swords. What i use them for depends on the situation, but i like to spend time in the woods, so there's allways processing firewood and improvising shelter, cleaning fish and eventually, when i get my hunters license, skinning/cleaning game.
Allso my job requires me to have some kind of knife on me at all times, so my Rat1 has become a good pocketbuddy ;)

LRC^: Thank you :D

Welcome to BFC! Lots of good people here. Enjoy!

Just a few minutes left on May 17 to wish you a Happy Independence Day here in NY [What you call Constitution Day ]. Still have my first knife , a Helle , from Norway 1947 !!

Greetings Norse_Nightcrawler! One of my favorite bands hails from Norway. I much prefer their earlier sound as it was much rawer, but the newer material is okay too. :D

Unfortunately, vocals are drowned out but one of my favorite songs. Cannot find a regular upload on youtube for this song.

I was in Norway in 1965. Our army unit was selected to take part in a big NATO maneuver called "Barfrost 65". The British were the Agressors, and we were to help the Norwegians defeat them.
They sent out company down to Bad Tolz in Germany to take the Special Forces Mountain Training School, then off to Norway.
Rained the whole time. Beautiful country... Not much was level where we were. Looked like a great place to go fishing....Streams and lakes everywhere.
All the Norwegian troops we met were great, we all came back with those reindeer hides that they used instead of air matresses.

Several Norwegian knife folk in one thread. Great!

Anyone know anything about the knives of R. Persson (PerssonKniven.com)? I picked up one of his knives on ePrey but cannot find any information about his work.

A couple of threads on BritishBlades didn't supply any details.

Must be very modest. :)
