Hi!

I've been lurking around the forum for a couple of days and decided to post a short intro today. My name is Joe and first and foremost, I love watches (time pieces, horology, etc). I've always liked carrying a SAK and/or a multitool, but in the last year I've started to get interested in folders. I'm a frequent poster on two watch forums (watchuseek and DWC) and I also post from time to time on EDCforums.com. I've learned so much and made some great friends in the aforementioned forums and thus I'm very happy to see the same kind of camaraderie here. Hoping to learn a lot and make new friends!

I also like guns and compete on IDPA.

Currently planning on getting an Emerson CQC-7 and Spyderco Sage 2.

I was really happy with my Tenacious and Kershaw Cryo... then I bought the Mini Griptilian and felt the improvement of the blade (154CM), how the edge retention was better... that pushed me to look for more info regarding blade steels, knife design, lock types, etc.

Two weeks later I ordered the ZT0566... what a difference in craftsmanship, design, blade design... I just love it. Right now I'm taking money from my watch fund to buy a couple of other knives, trying to keep a diverse collection... I want to try different steels and knife/locks designs. This will be a fun ride, except for my wallet :)
 
Greetings from Michigan. Welcome to the Blade Forum. Nice stuff. I am headed to Puerto Rico for a vacation. Any advice on what folder to bring? I will have a few SAK's. Is your blade length limit 3"? Any good knife shops? Any advice on what watch to bring?
I am looking forward to some warm weather. Michigan is being hammered by old man winter.
 
Hi Joe . Welcome to the forum . I grew up in PR I'm planing on going there this summer to visit family . Just wondering how are the knife laws there . I know that PR has some kind of law that band what's called armas blanca . Do you know anything about it .
