Hello, ladies and gentlemen. New CRK owner here and I thought I should introduce myself. I've mostly been a Benchmade and Spyderco guy, but I just recently bought a snakewood inlay small 21. Truly impressive. I've never seen fit and finish like this before. The only problem is I just can't bring myself to carry it. It's too pretty. :-) I'd post a pic, but I've never figured out how. Oh, well...

Congratulations on your first CRK !!!!!!!
As gorgeous as they are, they're meant to be carried and used. That's when you'll truly appreciate the whole experience of having a CRK.
You can always use the pocket sheath to carry it in. It may be awkward at first, but you'll get used to it. That way, it will develop wear as opposed to a bunch of snail trails.
Or, you can get a plain jane for EDC and have the inlay for Sunday carry.
Either way, one is not enough and 13 is a bakers dozen.

Welcome
You just got to get out there and use it. They get their own form of beauty with a little wear.

Once you get a CRK, Benchmades and Spydercos just dont do it anymore. Welcome aboard!

Congratulations! I still have a hard time carrying my wood inlay CRKs. There are a few that I do carry.

Welcome to the fold. Just find, and purchase a "user." You'll obtain a couple of more anyway. Most of us did.

Congratulations on your new knife and welcome here!

My vote would be to use it like it's meant to be used! I understand the fear of ruining something as nice as one of these knives . . . But these knives are tough and Chris Reeve can always fix one up if it does become either broken or just cosmetically challenged!!

You'll really start to enjoy it after you get over the first scratch. Welcome to a really good forum.
