Greetings to everyone.I am a new guy at the forum and just wanted to say hello.I started
collecting balisongs as a kid,but was not too
serious about it at that time.I missed out on
a lot of great balisongs(Balisong U.S.A, Pacific Cutlery and the older Benchmade U.S.A).Now,I belive I got bit again by the "balisong bug".A great new interest has now begun. My collection is pretty small, nothing like Chuck's (the Balisong Collector).I have a few Batangas balisongs and have added some of
the new BM42.I hope to take advantage of the
new opportunities I will have in collecting
the new generation of balisongs.Especially,
the Gemini Balisong! Although, I still would love to get my hands on the older models.Anyways, I look foward to talking
balisong and making new friend here at the forum.

Welcome to the Balisong Forum!
You indeed will find great balisong discussions go on in here. All of the people here are great and will help you out whenever they can.

If you can, could you take a picture of your balisongs and post them here on the forums?

Welcome aboard.

This forum, I think, has proven that there is broad interest in balisongs. The overwhelming demand for Benchmade's new 42 and Gemini's great success (17 of 25 pieces sold in less than one week and still going strong), has shown that there is a strong market for quality balisongs. We've seen ChuckG's work and I'm looking forward to seeing more of it, maybe even getting a chance to examine and photograph a few pieces. I've been contacted by several other major custom makers interested in exploring balisongs. And, I am aware of two other manufacturer's expecting to add balisongs to their line. So, I am very excited to say that we're on the verge of a balisong revival. The next generation of great production and great custom balisongs is looking great.

Welcome jpared.......... always good to see a new addition to the community.

So, do you have any good stories of stabbing yourself while practicing, or Balisong/police encounters??

Thanks Clay! By the way, you have a awesome site. You and Gollnick have some very helpful
information for Bali-players of all levels.
From time to time, I try to attempt some of
the Bali moves you have on your site. One of these days I'll get to the advanced level. As far as stories of me stabbing myself,I just get the usual "battle wounds" every Bali-player gets while practicing and I have had no encounters with the Police.Sorry, I wish I had some exciting stories to share with you.
