Leatherman Rep

Leatherman Rep ,

There are a few of us here that are dedicated multi tool collectors . Would it be possible to ask for your help in getting a complete list of all Leatherman tools made distinguishing changes in the model lines such as I know the first leatherman did not have the lanyard attachment . Then the hard wire cutter notch was added . If this could be labeled by year it would be appreciated . Plus any special editions such as the camos done for the Austrailian market and the recent ones done for Bass pro shops and Cabellas and the Lady leatherman for Sheperd hills cutlery .

Thank you

Welcome to the forums, it's always nice to see Company Reps hangin' with us seminormal people. ;)

This is a great place to exchange info or just hang out, sit back and enjoy the ride.

Welcome LeathermanRep i'm sure we are going to keep you very busy with lots of questions :D

And you might expalin to us why you guys think we can't be trusted to adjust our multitools. My vote for worst idea LM ever had: 5 lobe propietary security screws.

Love the tools, carry an old school Wave and a Mini (sad to see those dc'd) daily, and my wife edc's a Micra, but the 5 lobe thing chaps me, I gotta admit.

Ok, here goes... :)

Why on earth was the Juice Pro discontinued?

What's the future of the Juice line? Will locking tools ever get encorporated?

Hello Lonediver......Wow I am not sure that I can get that kind of info as there has been so many variants over the years..........
I will see if they have any kind of info on the various models.......but I am not sure that is something I can obtain

Great question thanks for asking.
The XE6 and Pro have been slow movers for some reason.......the year they were introduced we didn't have a sheath which I feel hurt sales of the large Juices.
The Pro was a special model made up for Costco and it didn't exactly fly off the shelf, last time I checked for a customer there were some still available by special order....I will check again and see if they still have some in stock.
I don't see any changes as far as a locking blade on the Juice series.
The C2,S2 and CS4 have done quite well....the XE6 and KF4 have been slow movers to date.

LR ,

Is there someone else at Leatherman that might have the knowledge that we seek ?

A few of us have started lists such as the original PST had 6 stock versions that I am aware of ,

The original without the lanyard attachment
Then with lanyard attachment but no hard wire cutter
With both the above
Black anodized
Dynamite crimper - stainless
Dynamite crimper - black anodized

Would any of the camo juices made for the Austrailian market be available ?

Thanks

Hi Leathermanrep!

I like Leatherman tools, but there is one thing the majority of the forum wants to tell to Mr. Leatherman: could you tell your boss how we find the mini screwdrivers bit holder to be a waste of space? that would be cool.

there are some solutions to get these tools without taking all that place:
-separate tools, as they're thin enough, there would waste less space
-regular bits with these mini screwdrivers on
-certainly other ones...

welcome to the forum, that's cool to have reps to talk with :)

Personally, I use the mini driver pretty frequently.

Yeah, I like having a screwdriver that will fit my eyeglasses handy. While it may be bulky trying to tighten a little screw on your glasses, it is better than not being able to tighten it at all.

Good point. But I think it belongs in the scales/sides and should be removable (but locking in securely - add a tweezers while you're at it ;) ). I need another regular sized driver more often than an eyeglass (which can be had in just about every grocery store anyway - you could buy a few and stash them in the car, desk, kitchen etc.).

More efficient use of space is why I carry my ST Spirit instead of an LM. Would have stuck with the juice, but want locking drivers.

That said, I think the Crunch is a real winner, though I prefer more onboard tools.

Gotta vote against the eyeglass bit, it's THE most useless thing I've ever seen. (don't wear glasses)

I bought the "new" Wave on line without actually handling one. While I'm really happy with the tool overall, the eyeglass bit really bugs me. :grumpy:

I have to say in the future, I'll probably not purchase any LM tool that has this (to me) useless feature. Seriously..... Just the other day at Wally World, I decided against buying a LM Blast just because of the mini bit driver.

Hey here's a suggestion:
For those of us who would rather have something else... a special program where we could send in our tools & have the eyeglass bit replace with say... maybe an awl for a small charge?

I know this is against company policy in general, but look at all the happy customers you'll be making! :D
