Over the past few years I have watched Greg Shahan's work and always liked how clean his knives were.
Just after Blade this year, Murray White posted a photo of a fighter that he purchased from Greg at the show.
This is the knife that Mr. White purchased from Greg.

I really liked the knife that Mr. White purchased so I got in touch with Greg. I mentioned that I would like a similar knife but wanted to use some of my Bog Oak for the handle material. I also liked how the guard matched the handle material on Mr. White's knife so I asked for a dark guard to match the bog oak with a bright spacer to break things up a bit. Greg got started right away and sent me this photo. The top blade is mine.

This is how the knife turned out. I could not be happier. Greg went above and beyond anything I could have hoped for. Thank You Greg!

Greg also sent me a bunch of photos taken as he was building the knife. I will try to post them tomorrow.

Kewl! Glad Greg got some good props from the knife I got from him. It is one of my favorites and one I like to handle all the time. I'm sure you will enjoy using it in whatever capacity. Glad you could make use of the photo I have done of mine. This is what is great about our community. We share and enjoy our love of knives. Look forward to seeing other knives you may obtain. Keep posting!!

Greg does a stellar job and I've got a few of his pieces to prove it.....great knife from a great guy and maker. :)

Gorgeous knife, the sharp blade looks perfect with the beautiful handle. Excellent work to both of you.

:cool:that's super lethal looking

Very nice. Greg is definitely making some great knives. He has come a long way in a short time. I like it a lot, congratulations.

Super looking fighter. Great use of the bog oak. That is some really great handle material. Design looks totally comfortable.

Thanks for the comments friends.

I can't tell you what an honor it was working with this piece of bog oak and with Mark.

You cant tell from my crappy photos but the wood is spectacular.

At the risk of sounding like I'm blowing my own horn I think this one is very nice.

I sent it to Coop this morning to do his thing, after which he will send it on to Mark.

Can't wait to see his photos.

Greg

Very nice stuff.

I rode the shuttle from the airport to Blade Show with Greg and I got to meet him a few years ago at Little Rock. A very, pleasant and great guy that seems to be zooming ahead...
