Gregory Z55 Question

After doing a good deal of research, I have decided that the Gregory Z55 is the bag for me. I am currently looking around for a place to purchase one and have have come across some problems. Mainly that they are not sold anywhere near me. I am concerned about whether or not to get a medium or a large. I am 5'11" and 180 lbs.. I have heard that you should try it on first to get the correct fit, but I can't.

Is there anyone who is my size that owns one and can give some advice. it would be greatly appreciated. I am very excited about getting this bag. But I obviously don't want to spend the money on the wrong one.

Hi Jack,
For reference, I'm 6'4" and use a large Z65. You can measure the length of your spine from the bottom of your spine to the vertebrae at the base of your neck. I think Gregory says to get a large if your number is 20" or higher. Hope this helps.

I'm Like 20.5-21". Guess I'm getting a large. It works out nice as you end up with some extra space.
