This is the 'Brand New Kershaw 1725CB' I 'won' on evil-bay recently. I did assume it was a regular new knife, just to learn here what the 'X X X X' means - it's an 'as-is' factory blem or second. So, there is no special number on this knife's box - there was no box! But - it has a grey G10 scale set that is patterned like the original JYDII's with that panel line/rivet detail. I like it better than my regular knife-store 1725CB, with it's plain black grippy G10 scales, although it came with a box, paper, pouch, and warranty - and was cheaper at 'buy it now'. Both were date-coded ' OCT 08'. I don't recall seeing that version here - is it a new version?

I'm pretty sure they didn't "handle" any CB's with the Grey scales.
Looks as though the XXXX CB Blade was put into the standard Grey G10 handles.

Any word from that guy yet?

Did anyone who went to the factory sale see any like this one? Could Kershaw have done it specifically to move the XXXX blades in the sale? Very curious.

IIRC I have seen several of these on the bay.... I am thinking maybe they had some odd parts to move out and did it at the factory sale. I could be wrong though.

So, not only did I not get a warranty, pouch, box, or papers... I didn't get a regular model, either - wow - such a deal - and for more than a standard 1725CB! When I step in it, I find the biggest pile - and, I'm barefooted!!

No word from the vendor.

Phooey - I like it's 'looks' anyway. Besides - what's my other choice? It is a 1725CB... it's also a New Year - I have other things to obsess over. Hopefully, my feedback will alert other unsuspecting souls. 'Brand New' indeed.
