Hi Balifans. I don't have a bunch of time, so this will be brief - but I thought you'd be interested. Some time back I sent Chuck Griffin (ChuckG) a BM239 w/a cracked handle. He rehandled the knife for me in aluminum. The handles are thick, like custom PC/BM knives - they are longer to incorporate a latch gate, and they are very well made. Basically, I just wanted to let everyone know that Chuck does really nice work. I now have a custom on order with him. I don't have any pictures to post - but keep your eyes open. Chuck Gollnick will be taking some and doing a review of it on his website eventually.

I have the knife and am planning to take pictures this weekend.

It's very nicely done. I am impressed. It moves pretty well. It took me a few minutes to adapt to the handles, not so much their weight, but their thickness and shape. A common BM42 is about .42" thick at the tang and .47" thick at the punyo. The knife is about .61" thick and does not tapper. That takes a bit of adjustment.

The workmanship is great, though. Nicely done.

Think W!
